What Artworks to Submit
A "Whimsical Winterworks" art challenge centers around celebrating the magical, playful, and imaginative aspects of the winter season. Blend wintery landscapes, traditions, and fantastical elements to perfectly capture the magic of the season.
Not sure what to draw? No worries, we prepared a list of inspirational topics to help spark up your imagination:
Frosted Dreams: Imagine a dreamscape covered in shimmering frost. Create surreal or dreamy landscapes where icy textures dominate.
Snowy Companions: Design a whimsical snow creature or animal that would befriend someone during a winter stroll.
Wandering Woods: Paint or draw an enchanted forest that transforms during wintertime, filled with glowing trees, frozen rivers, or creatures who decide to stay alert through winter.
Frozen Folklore: Illustrate a winter-themed myth, legend, or tale inspired by your own imagination.
Holiday Spirit: Reimagine a classic holiday tradition with a quirky or whimsical twist, blending nostalgia with creativity.
Entry Period
Entries are accepted by January 15, 2025, 11:59 PM Pacific Time. The results will be announced via the Escape Motions website by January 31, 2025. The winners will be contacted via email.
Prizes
Escape Motions will reward three entries with a Rebelle 8 Pro perpetual license upon its release (planned for Q2 2025) and multiple Rebelle paper sets of winners’ choice:
- 1st Prize: 'Rebelle 8 Pro and 5 paper sets' (worth US$225)
- 2nd Prize: 'Rebelle 8 Pro and 4 paper sets' (worth US$210)
- 3rd Prize: 'Rebelle 8 Pro and 3 paper sets' (worth US$195)
No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
How to Enter
Log in to your Community account at Escape Motions Community. Go to the "My Account" section and click the "Add New Artwork" icon. You can drag and drop your files or upload files from your computer. Select the file you want to upload and click the "Upload Images" button. After the uploading is finished, set the Image name, Tags, the Software used, and the Description. Check the "Enter the Winter Challenge with this image". Confirm your submission by clicking the "Publish Images" button.
Another option is to publish your entry directly from Rebelle. Go from the menu "File" or "Community" -> "Publish". Set the "Picture name" and "Description", and add winterchallenge to the "Tags". Confirm your submission by clicking the "Publish" button.
Always check if your entry was published by looking at your Portfolio on the Escape Motions website. Each person can submit multiple entries.
Rules to Follow
- Entrants can post their artwork with the tag #winterchallenge to Escape Motions Community Gallery. The closing date for all entries will be January 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
- Entries created with Rebelle software (both full and Trial version) are accepted.
- The use of AI art generation is not allowed in any way.
- All artworks submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them. Each entrant is responsible for ensuring that any images they submit do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the artwork they are submitting is their work and that they own the copyright for it.
- By participating in the online painting contest, including registering for the Community and uploading artwork to the Gallery, entrants automatically agree to abide by Escape Motions' Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- The duplicates of artworks, that have already been published in the Community Gallery before the challenge starting date will not be considered for this challenge.
- The size of the artwork is not limited, but we recommend at least 1200 x 1200 pixels. When publishing online from the Community account, the file needs to be of a maximum 2 MB size.
- The Escape Motions jury will choose three entries to win Rebelle 8 Pro upon its release planned for Q2 – 2025 and multiple paper sets of winner's choice.
- The results will be announced via the Escape Motions website by January 31, 2025. Winners will be contacted via email.
