Hello,

I just installed Rebelle 5 Pro with the regular license and when I attempt to open it, I receive the usual Rebelle 5 image, and then it freezes.  The only info I have is the default canvas it's trying to open, otherwise it's a blank screen.

Rebelle 5 Pro | RebelleArtwork.reb | 29.7 x 21 cm | 200 dpi (Not Responding)

I have to close it from the Task Manager. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the issue remains.

My system is Intel i7, 16 GB RAM, 64-bit using Windows 10 Home v21H1

It doesn't seem like it's hogging any CPU, Memory or Disk usage.  I opened Rebelle 4 with no issues.

Just to test, I would install on my Mac but when I click the link to download it from the welcome email, I just get a blank screen. Am I able to download both the Win and Mac versions with one license?

Any help is appreciated!

Same thing happening to me, just opened once and no longer working. I'm on Windows 8.

update: If I delete the settings.ini file before launching, it works. But it needs to be done with every relaunch. Maybe there is a clue there.

Are you by any chance working on a secondary display?

@Tom Gehrke Yes, actually, I have two 27" monitors set up on this machine, with the laptop's display turned off.

Update:  I disconnected the monitors and used the laptop screen, and the program opens just fine.  I hope that we get a fix for secondary displays!

Unfortunately, I have been in the same boat. In my case my Wacom Cintiq is my secondary display so it really kills my productivity considering I can't use my pen on the primary display.

I've been a little more surgical in recovering. If you delete the geometry entry under [mainwindow] in your settings.ini, it will at least reset the position of Rebelle back to your primary display and you can keep all of your other settings intact.

Or I could just remember to move the application back to the primary display before shutting it down. But I'm just not that self-aware most of the time.

I tried sharing a link to the backtrace.out file I created using the Rebelle Freeze Analyzer the last time this happened to me, but the forum apparently did not like that. Happy to provide that info if it might be helpful to the Escape Motions folk.

And I just tried it in 5.01. Just in case. No change. :(
