I noticed the length on the brush you are using is not at 100. This might make a difference.

1. Looks like fixed in 7.0.2 release - now setting Loading lower than 30 does not make stroke' length infinite. 3. here are examples of fake nanopixel texture seems through paint in Rebelle 7 Pro at 500% zoom, and screens from Rebelle 6 Pro for comparison with similar settings - one with 500% Zoom and another with 1000% zoom - becuase in Rebelle 6 Pro 1000+% is a level when you only starts to notice this effect Rebelle 7 Pro at 500% zoom:

Aha! Now I see what you mean. That seems to be the same issue like in this thread. So, what imho actually happens is, that the macro structure of the canvas disappears and only the micro fabric (what you call "fake texture") is shown. |

2. Looks like oversmudging is related to "Paint Pressure Threshold" setting (Brush creator -> Paint -> Mixing -> Paint & Mix Paint Mode - > at top of Curve editor window). When it set by default at 0 - it behave as i described earlier: you can almost completely remove paint from canvas by smudging like as if it is thin aquarelle instead of oil. But if you set this Threshold anything from 1 to 100 - it starts to smudge only edges of original paint stroke (more realistic) and by the way - it's little strange but looks like 1 to 100 doesnt really change in scale result of this effect. |

Bewitched, I agree this is a fatal bug with textures. Because it doesn't only look visually different from Reb6, it also affects actual painting process and smoothness of brushes/grain. Compare those two processes. When nanopixel is off - brushes interact with texture better/smoother and it seems a programm reads texture better. When nanopixel is on - a texture in paint almost dissapears. It's not sharp and beautiful anymore.
I always drew with nanopixel on and in Reb7 it's so bad I had to jump back to Reb6. |

@bewitched sorry for the late reply. I am glad you found the "Paint Pressure Threshold" parameter, it was changed to 0 by default in Rebelle 7. If you prefer the older value of 10 you can also set it to be used by all brush presets inside Preferences -> Tools -> Paint, Mix & Blend Default Pressure Curves (at the bottom) -> Open Curve Editor. This will be used by all presets that are not explicitly changing this value. "Paint Pressure Threshold" parameter controls when (and if) the paint mixing can start during brush strokes, with the new value of 0 it is always on from the start. With any other value mixing starts only after the stylus pressure had decreased by a percentage of the highest pressure reached during the current stroke, meaning that with the old default value of 10 you'd have to press down and then ease the pressure to be 10% lower than the highest pressure for the mixing to start. This can change the mixing behaviour quite significantly when comparing 0 to values greater than 0. |

@Pavol or any, Inside the Preferences -> Tools -> Paint, Mix & Blend Default Pressure Curves, I played around with the global settings (only the top row). Could anyone enlighten me? Thanks in advance! |
