Don't know what you're trying to achieve this way. You could try selecting a painted stroke with the Magic Wand. Create a layer just for this selection brush fake. Choose a brush that suits your needs. Paint and then select the painted strokes with the Magic Wand. Selections can be saved. Paths and stencils can be converted to selections. A selection can also be converted to a stencil.
