Strange text overlay

I keep getting these overlays, usually names of saved layouts or names of brushes. It's very annoying as they are always under the brush cursor

I'm new to Rebelle, so I'm not really sure, but possibly you can change that in the Preferences. Take a look at the category "General" > "Desktop and Tablet Mode". Try to untick the first entry. I'm not sure what this is for, but with a little luck...
