Hi @HEllis,

here's how to insert a brush into this thread:

   1. Go to Rebelle menu -> Help -> Show Library Folder... and open the "Brushes" folder

   2. Click "Reply to this topic" at the bottom of this webpage

   3. Click "Insert/Edit Image" when editing post:

...and open or drag & drop brush file (.png)

With Rebelle 4 release we introduced the online Brushes library where you can post your Rebelle 4 brushes for others to download and use:

Thanks, I will try again. I did go to the Rebelle 4 brush site but only saw how to download brushes, not upload. These brushes can be used with other mediums. I just started them in watercolor because I wanted some foliage-type texture. To retain the texture in watercolor, you need to start them on pause and dry right away or take out all water when starting to paint; otherwise, the texture diffuses. Feel free to use and change anyway you desire. They're fun using the opacity jitter. Enjoy! (The names of the brushes are: Bubbles, Encaustic, Fine Cracks, Fine Grainy Rock, Fine Grit, Grainy Rock, Grass, Grassy, Gravel, Ground Texture, Leaf Scatter2, Leaf Scatter3, Leaf Scatter, Leaf, Moss, Pebbles, Puddle, Salt, Spatter L2, Spatter L1, Tree Bark, Twiggy2, and Twiggy. I put them in a Group called Textures) FYI, I started making them based on a basic Rebelle Spatter brush in Watercolor and adjusted from there.

what does the small box in the upper right of the canvas thumbnail signify?

Hi @sfriedman39,

do you refer to the box that is present on papers in the Select Canvas Window? Screenshot below:

Please note this box indicates whether the canvas has deckled edges - which can be activated using the "Use deckled edges" at the bottom of the same window.

Does anyone have advice on a scratchboard rake brush or how to make one? It was an older brush I'd always used in Painter which I'd love to move away from completely because Surface laptop support has been awful.

I'd like to create a palette knife brush that will produce a stroke like this. Is there a way to do this in the current version

sfriedman, pick "knife 2" brush frome acrylic and paste to oil paint and play with brush parameters. I'm sure we can do better.

Hi Rebelle Artists,

Here is my watercolor set as per comment requests. Please keep in mind that I am constantly refining brushes to minimize the amount I use. Here is my current set as of July 30, 2021. Enjoy!
